Synergy Between Academic Research and Industry: The Example of the REGENamel Project

Call for Proposals Companies and Campus fosters collaboration between universities and businesses, leading to tangible innovations. The winner of the 2022 edition, REGENamel, led by the University of Montpellier and the Pierre Fabre Group, perfectly illustrates this synergy.

Behind the project, an initial strategic meeting helped overcome a technological hurdle. Hélène Van Den Berghe and Xavier Garric from the Polymers for Health and Biomaterials team at the Max Mousseron Institute of Biomolecules (IBMM), and Christophe Hirtz, head of the clinical proteomics platform at CHU-UM, are combining their expertise to advance the REGENamel project and develop innovative solutions for dental remineralization.
