Synergy between academic research and business: the example of the REGENamel project

Call for projects Companies and Campus promotes collaboration between universities and businesses, generating concrete innovations. Winner of the 2022 edition, REGENamel, led by the University of Montpellier and the Pierre Fabre Group ,, perfectly illustrates this synergy.

Behind the project, an initial strategic contact helped overcome a technological obstacle. Hélène Van Den Berghe and Xavier Garric from the Polymers for Health and Biomaterials team at the Max Mousseron Biomolecules Institute (IBMM), and Christophe Hirtz, head of the clinical proteomics platform at CHU-UM, are combining their expertise to advance the REGENamel project and develop innovative solutions for dental remineralization.
