The University of Montpellier and the Nîmes University Hospital have strengthened their joint efforts
On September 2, the Nîmes university hospital community gathered for an after-work event attended by Philippe Augé (University of Montpellier), Frédéric Rimattei (Nîmes University Hospital), and Michel Prudhomme (Medical Committee of the Nîmes University Hospital). The event highlighted the shared momentum in research and innovation, with the participation of Véronique Dominguez-Guillaumel, Vice Rector for Higher Education and Research.
Three projects supported by the University Innovation Hub (PUI) exemplified this synergy: PEASY (male incontinence), 3D4 PEDIA (3D printing for pediatric pharmaceuticals), and DM CONNECT (coordination of care pathways).
A call for “Translational Research” projects has also been launched, with a budget of €100,000, to promote the transition from basic research to clinical applications.
According to Philippe Augé, “this shared momentum illustrates our ambition: to build a center of excellence in healthcare on a European scale.”
